Online courses and video production

We help with video production for e-learning courses. We often film key-note presentations or sections that book-end chapter content. Many courses combine content from various different sources, so we help combine footage and provide any graphics to give a consistent look and feel.

Adding professionally filmed clips to go between other user generated content helps raise the look and feel and also give a more polished and professional feel. Having high quality audio also makes the whole experience better. Get in touch if you have an idea you want to discuss: video@leedsvideoproduction.co.uk

Strictly LVP

We were delighted to take to the dance floor to film a client’s ‘strictly’ moves. It was all in aid of creating some content for a meeting, and staff had volunteered to learn a dance then perform it. We can’t reveal who it was for or where it was done, but we had a great day watching and filming the choreography.

It was a long day for the volunteers as they had to learn the moves then perform them as a group. Things could have become tiring but when the lights went down and the costumes went on, every performer stepped up and created a great sequence.

We filmed the event with a number of cameras and will pull together an edit that shows the whole day and also the finished routine.

We are 2

We are 2, it is our 2nd birthday, hooray!

The time has flown by. We’ve been creating video content for lots of interesting people. Lots of miles traveling up and down the country to get to some great destinations. Planning calls, zoom chats, travelling to film shoots, overnight stays, early starts, late finishes, long drives back into the night. We’ve flown the drone in cities and in the country. We’ve had rain and we’ve had sun. But it has all been worth it.

Roll on the next 2 years!

A day in the life of LVP

Today started with a drive to London to be in the right place for an 8.30am corporate video shoot the following day.

A quick bite to eat then rest as it is an early start. Tomorrow’s location is a property development. We’ve done quite a few property/location shoots Leeds Video Production | Property Video | Leeds Video Production

After a big breakfast at 0700 (we probably won’t have time for lunch), we arrive 0n-site at 0800 in West London. We register the car details, and find a good location to park where we can access the gear. Weather looks good so we get some drone shots done straight away. We get drone video and stills.

Next it is 2 engineers for interviews, one apprentice one a seasoned employee, both are good on camera. The client did a great job in selecting the right people to be interviewed. We finish these by 1000.

We move location 3 times and film 3 more interviews with people involved in the project. The building has some wonderful views across London from the 14th floor New Apartments for Rent in Greenford | Greenford Quay

Early afternoon and we sneak in a cup of tea over lunch time and a quick banana. Then it is a walk up to a show home for more filming. This time it is to show the app in action, so gimbal shots of engineers arriving at a customer’s flat, and then shot of the app in action.

Final stop in the afternoon is filming in the plant room. It is very high tech and clean, not what plant rooms used to look like. Lots of close ups of the engineers in action. We get the last shots just as the weather closes in a bit, so we are really pleased to have gotten what we needed to make a great video for the client. Onto the motorway network and we head home.

Video for business

It is always great creating video content for new businesses.

We have enjoyed providing content for www.brawn.co.uk . The Brawn inGym connects a gym with its lifters creating strong connections through easy-to-use AI-driven gym floor technology.

It encourages regular in-gym strength training by cleverly monitoring, celebrating and rewarding member participation and progress on the gym floor, creating a sense of belonging that builds loyalty to gyms and increases member retention.

It was great to work with the team at the wonderful https://www.grafthaus.co.uk in Leeds. We were able to use their brilliant facility to film interviews and content with regular exercisers and gym goers. We pride ourselves on being flexible and creating content that can be re-purposed across social media and digital channels. Leeds 2023

It was great to hear about the plans for Leeds 2023, a chance for the city to showcase its culture and people. Local personality Sanchez Payne spoke passionately about the opportunity for the city. ‘Everyone speaks culture but sometimes people don’t have a voice’ – but hopefully Leeds 2023 will give everyone in the city the chance to get involved.

Watch out for the 100 days to go announcement later in the year which will detail what events will be happening in 2023.

Half term happenings

We were down in Staines this week filming at The Matthew Arnold School. During holidays, such as the current half term, they need to fill up the sports facilities with paying customers, and to help them do this they use the online platform www.Bookteq.com It was half term so the facilities were busy with activities from kids clubs through to football matches.

Plenty of outdoor space allowed us to capture some nice drone pictures, as well as getting some great video recorded by the team. Great to see a technology provider delivering a business solution for schools, colleges and clubs. Bravo!!

Building a bright future

Working filming at a construction site recently we were reflecting on how work environments have improved. This particular job was on a new house development site and it was clear that their standards and procedures were top notch.

Everyone who we dealt with, on-site, sales, reception, contractors were pleasant and helpful. It was a pleasure to be there and congratulations to Redrow for running a really great operation (www.redrow.co.uk)

We do corporate video for residential and commercial, for brands, agencies and house builders. This includes show home, drone work, time lapse and marketing which can include special effects.

Four seasons in one day

We have been caught out by the weather on occasion. As an outdoor filming date starts to get close we will be daily checking our weather app to see how things are looking.

For corporate video work, outdoor filming looks so much better than indoor. We take lights to most shoots but room lighting is hard to control, and often there is some reason why certain windows or doors cannot be covered up.

Flexibility is needed to swap a schedule around to take into account whatever weather front is rolling in. Modern kit today can withstand some moisture, but filming in an all out downpour never looks good, unless that is the look you want. The Weather and climate change – Met Office is our friend.

A site visit in advance is also helpful so we have a couple of options to get what you need filmed. For drone flying we check in advance any local restrictions that might be in place.

Then there is sport…If the event isn’t called off, then you just have to get the shots….
